Day 7: La Maison De Forêt
Relax by the pool before returning to the airport.
Nestled in lush countryside close to the medieval spa town of Salies de Béarn, in the Béarn region of south-west France, Domaine Lavie dates back to the 18th century.
The former farm buildings, set in 7 acres of private grounds, have been converted into 4 independent holiday cottages, each with their own private terrace.
From the swimming pool there are stunning views over the surrounding countryside to the Pyrénées beyond. Domaine Lavie has a tranquil and calming atmosphere where it is easy to relax and unwind from the stresses and strains of ‘normal’ life. However, if relaxing is not for you then the abundance of things to see and do close by can keep you as busy and as active as you wish.
At Domaine Lavie the four independent cottages are furnished and equipped to a very high standard – in fact we’ve tried to think of everything you could possibly need to make your stay as comfortable as possible, including free WIFI via fibre connection.
Each cottage has a fully-equipped kitchen with plenty of crockery, cutlery, glasses and utensils. There is also a dishwasher and washing machine.
Each sitting room has a comfortable sofa and arm chairs, a television and a selection of books. Should you wish to, we also have a selection of board games for you to borrow.
Outside, each private terrace has a table and chairs and a gas BBQ for al-fresco dining.
You will also find a cool box and ice packs for those picnics at the beach or for visiting the lively markets and bringing back your artisan cheeses and charcuterie.
For families travelling with babies and toddlers, a cot and highchair can be provided at no additional cost. We can even purchase your bulky items, such as nappies, in advance so that they are ready and waiting for you on arrival.
For family gatherings or celebrations, all the cottages can be booked together and can accommodate up to 16 people in 8 bedrooms (1 double, 2 twins and 5 rooms that can have either a super king or twin beds). However, early booking is essential!
