South Africa is the ultimate destination for you adventure holiday. Luxury big game Safari, Whale Watching in Hermanus Combined with cosmopolitan Cape Town, Abseiling Table Mountain, exploring the Cape of Good Hope nature reserve and river cruising with Crocs and Hippo’s  in St Lucia, South Africa has it all. Hermanus is a beautiful costal town around 90 minutes Southeast from Cape Town. Known as one of the best spots in the world for whale watching,this will be our base for the next 4 days. Staying in a luxury private villa from here we will explore this beautiful costal town hiking along the Fernkloof Nature Reserve while keeping an eye out for the Whales that make this place there home from June – November or laze on one of the pristine Blue Flag beaches.

We will not only see the Whales (Southern Rights, Humpbacks and other species) on a boat trip but get up close and personal with them on a  kayaking trip with them in Walker bay. Visit Gansbaai, famous for its Shark diving. Here you will get chance to jump into the water with the Ultimate Apex predator. the Great White Shark, no diving experience required.  Sample the local wines of Hermanus on our organised wine tasting tour of Bengula Cove with its exclusive setting on the Botriver Lagoon, a natural lagoon overlooking the Atlantic Ocean with the backdrop of the mountains makes this a most wonderful venue.


Cape Town, often described as Africa’s greatest city. This is where we will be staying in a luxury private villa for the next 3 days. From here we will enjoy seeing the sights of this historic city. Experience a Cape Peninsula tour, exploring the most scenic part of this jagged landscape. Visit Boulders beach, home to a colony of African Penguins, and finish in the Cape of good hope and  Cape Point, the most southerly tip of the Cape Peninsula where the two oceanic currents collide.

Climb or enjoy a thrilling ride up Table Mountain and for those brave enough, abseil fro the top, relax on the beautiful beaches of Camps Bay, visit the historic V & A Waterfront and sample the beautiful wines of this gorgeous region, Cape Town really does have it all.


Mantis Biyela Lodge is situated in the uMfolozi Big Five Reserve, a a 6,000 hectare private concession that is an extension of the Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park. Tiered on a descending cliff overlooking the spectacular oxbow lagoon in the White iMfolozi River, Biyela Lodge is the essence of luxury in the African wild. This is a wild landscape and populated by elephants, buffalo, hippos, crocodiles and the endangered wild dog. There are over 600 bird species in the area, and sitting from your private deck you can spot a variety of them weaving about the indigenous thickets.

The 5 star lodge has been decorated and designed in a chic and contemporary style and there is a central area that features a rim flow swimming pool, restaurant and bar as well as a viewing deck to take in the ambience of the natural surroundings. Whether you experience the wonders of the wild from the lodge, or on a game drive in the Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park, home to the Big 5, you can rest assured that your experience at Biyela Lodge will be an exclusive one.

Each luxury private suite comes equipped with indoor and outdoor showers, plus a modern lounge area and a private viewing deck. There are 12 one-bedroomed suites with 10 out of the 12 having their own private plunge pools. In addition, there is a secluded Africology Spa that has 2 treatment rooms and is ideal for a peaceful revival of the mind and body.


St Lucia and its estuary has one of the highest concentrations of hippos and crocodiles in southern Africa. What also makes this area magnificent is that the park is South Africa’s first World Heritage Site and includes nine per cent of the country’s coastline.Be sure to have your camera ready – not just for the beautiful beaches, lush coastal forests, dunes, savannas, wetlands, sunsets over the lake or even the leatherback turtles laying eggs (in summer), but also the extensive game and birdlife and fascinating scenery.

From our Luxury Safari Lodge we will explore this magnificant area,  Enjoy a river cruise looking for Croc’s and Hippo’s and for those with nerves of steel Kayak for 2 hours along the estuary. Horse riding and hiking are also available.
