Sardine Run 2017 (Day 11,12 & 13)
Day 11,12 & 13 Report.
Sardine Run 2017.
Firstly apologies for not uploading the daily reports however our internet was down and this is the first opportunity to report what has happened.
Words although i will try, cannot explain what we have sen in the last three days. We have been dropped the middle of a national geographic movie and witnessed the highlights of 4 years worth of filming. We have had bait balls everyday for up to an hour at a time. We have seen very large sharks, Thousands of dolphins, hundreds of diving gannets and brydes whales smash through the centre of the bait ball. The sardine run 2017 has so far been incredible. If it wasn’t enough witnessing the greatest shoal on earth we have swam with humpback whales watched them play and breach the water. We have had super pods of dolphins estimate 2km long, 40 plus humpback whales everyday and very very close encounters with sharks. If this wasn’t enough we have hiked down to Angel falls through the African jungle, flown in the microlight above secret waterfalls and enjoyed a few drinks overlooking Mbotyi bay. The last few days have been incredible, we have taken over a thousands photos and 100gb of video. We will edit and sort through the footage of this marine extravaganza we have been privileged to have taken part in. As i said at the begging words cannot explain but watch blue planet or planet earths footage of the sardine run and you will have some idea of our ocean adventure. All our guests are blown away and have certainly fallen in love with South Africa. If you would like to know more get in touch via our contacts page. Tomorrow is our last day on the ocean, i don’t know what more to ask for. Love South Africa love the Sardine Run 2017.
