Embark on an unforgettable journey starting from Hurghada, sailing northward towards Gubal Island and the renowned wrecks of Abu Nuhas. Dive into the depths to explore the captivating remnants of Giannis D, Carnatic, the ‘Lentil Wreck’, and the ‘Tile Wreck’, each offering breathtaking underwater experiences teeming with vibrant marine life.
Delve deeper to uncover the secrets of the Rosalie Moller, sister ship to the famed Thistlegorm, resting between 30 to 50 meters below the surface in pristine condition. Despite occasional visibility challenges, the wreck is adorned with glassfish and patrolled by majestic lionfish, while pelagic species such as tuna, trevallies, and Emperor fish roam the surrounding waters.
A short voyage across the Straits of Gubal leads to the crown jewel of Red Sea wrecks, the SS Thistlegorm. This awe-inspiring relic of World War II history lies submerged in 30 meters of water, laden with a cargo of armaments, Bedford trucks, and BSA motorbikes destined for British troops in North Africa. Weather permitting, a night dive adds an extra dimension to this unforgettable experience.
Nearby, the Ras Mohamed National Park beckons with its legendary ‘Shark and Yolanda’ reefs, offering a morning dive amidst breathtaking underwater vistas. The Brother Islands, towering pinnacles rising from the abyss some 60 miles offshore from El Quseir, await exploration as part of the Marine Park Islands National Park. Here, mesmerizing wall dives reveal a kaleidoscope of colors, adorned with soft corals and gorgonian forests, attracting an array of marine life including big tuna, barracudas, jacks, and snappers, alongside occasional sightings of hammerheads, silky sharks, oceanic white tips, and majestic mantas.
For wreck enthusiasts, the Aida II and the Numidia lie on the walls of Big Brother, adorned with rich coral growth and inhabited by a diverse marine ecosystem including Napoleon wrasse and grey reef sharks.
Return to Hurghada via Safaga, with opportunities to explore Panorama Reef or the iconic wreck of Salem Express, ensuring a memorable finale to an extraordinary diving expedition.
Emperor Elite, the flagship vessel of the Emperor Fleet, is a Red Sea liveaboard that leaves no stone unturned in providing an unforgettable diving experience. This 38-meter vessel has been designed by divers for divers, with every detail carefully considered to ensure guests have everything they need at their fingertips.
Emperor Elite caters to a maximum of 26 guests and provides a range of cabins that cater to all preferences. There are 8 standard twin-berth cabins on the lower deck, 3 premium twin cabins located on different decks, a double Junior Suite on the lower deck, and a new, luxurious Executive Suite on the upper deck. All cabins come with en-suite bathrooms, independent air conditioning, flat-screen TVs, and three towels and a bathrobe per guest. Guests can also enjoy free wine with their evening meals, as part of the holiday package.
The dive deck on Emperor Elite is spacious and well-organized, ensuring a smooth experience for divers as they gear up for their dives. Two powerful ribs are available to swiftly transport guests to their dive sites, and a range of gas mixtures can be pumped quickly. Nitrox is also available on board, free of charge. Indoors, guests can unwind in comfortable sofas and a dedicated dining area. The upper deck features a saloon and a small seating area, while the covered fly deck and sun loungers are located on the top deck. For guests who need to stay connected, free wifi is available across all decks.

With around 49 different shark species inhabiting the surrounding waters, you’re likely to encounter several of these fascinating creatures during your visit. Here are some of the most commonly spotted shark species in the Red Sea:
Reef Sharks Grey reef sharks, blacktip reef sharks, and whitetip reef sharks are the most commonly sighted species in the Red Sea.
Hammerhead Sharks The Red Sea is home to the striking scalloped hammerhead sharks. You can spot them during early morning dives, emerging from the depths to visit cleaning stations or gathering at current-swept drop-offs.
Oceanic Whitetip Sharks One of the most dynamic animals you’ll encounter diving in the Red Sea, the striking pelagic oceanic whitetip shark is a fascinating sight. With proper guidance from your dive guide, you can experience a safe and responsible up-close encounter with this incredible predator.
Tiger Sharks While tiger sharks are among the rarest and most elusive species in the Red Sea, they do patrol the open ocean and may be seen if luck is on your side.
Whale Sharks Certain spots in Egypt’s northern and southern Red Sea become hotspots for whale sharks for a few months every year. These massive filter feeders can be spotted cruising in the shallows, feasting on their favorite meal – plankton.
Leopard Sharks Also known as zebra sharks, these spotted bottom-dwellers are most often encountered resting on the reef or sand.
Thresher Sharks A highlight of any dive trip, thresher sharks are among the Red Sea’s most shy and elusive species. Luckily, several famous dive sites offer regular sightings.

A liveaboard is a purpose-built scuba diving vessel or an existing boat that has been adapted to cater to divers. These trips typically last longer than one night, with the average duration being 7 nights. Liveaboard boats can host between 12 and 30 divers, although smaller and larger vessels are also available. Most liveaboard packages include diving, food, and drinks.
